The first time I heard Caleb Steph's introducing single "Can I Talk" I was confused. Steph seems very confident in the beat, easily switching his cadence as his song, and pausing the track when he needs a breath. Caleb owns every line of the track, dropping witty lyrics in between powerful statements of identity. Yesterday, he released his debut album"Bellwood Product," delivers a transparent narrative of a young 20-year-old Virginian trying to wrestle his identity out of the black male archetype.
