This was my first experience with PUP and I can say with confidence they made a great first impression. This pop punk at it’s finest. The catchy beat and lyrics go amazingly well with the typical punk vocals that are very close to becoming yelling. They contrast each other wonderfully. PUP’s energy in this album feels young and as I nodded my head along with the song it forced me to remember my age. It’s so full of life that you want to rock your head with it, but despite this, it contains what feels like a distortion like everything about this isn’t as it seems. The lyrics certainly back up this album as almost all of the album is about well… morbid stuff. This was a great album that is certainly the reason why I will listen to the rest of PUP’s stuff and I will certainly be looking forward to their works in the future.
